Our goal is not only provide local teachers for village children, but also train them with teaching skills and local curriculum. TBCAF held teacher training over ten years and now twice a year, benefiting many young local teachers.
To improve teaching skills, we invited official teachers and senior teachers to share their experiences. The very important part of teacher training is local curriculum, which aims to advocate Karen traditional culture and custom to young generation in their own villages. The topics covered Karen elders experiences sharing, farm work, traditional weaving skills, original beliefs, environment preservation and Karen written language, etc.
