In Karen villages we serve, schools only provide primary level. Students need to leave their villages in the mountain to get further education. In order to help Karen youths who eagerly want to get higher education, TBCAF provide dormitories and study loan for students from poor families. We also cooperate with HCTC school for vocational training. In addition, in order to develop their potential in ways that are useful for their daily lives, we contribute other resources to train the youths such as computer training, English conversation textbooks and community rights, etc.
Here’s three main parts in our “Higher Education Project” :
*Higher education : Normally “Higher Education” indicates post-secondary education or tertiary education. Since there’s only primary level in villages, “Higher Education” we mentioned here includes secondary(junior high school and senior high school) level and tertiary level(college and university).
