Impact:
Contribution to a sustainable development and to living peacefully together

Outcome:
Enhance inclusive and equitable quality education to promote sustainable development for all girls and boys

The project aims to strengthen the continuity and quality of education for children across eleven schools by responding to immediate humanitarian needs while also building longer term school capacity. The project recognizes that children’s learning is affected not only by teaching and classroom instruction, but also by their safety, health, nutrition, emotional well-being, language development, and family support. Therefore, the intervention combines education support with well-being, school environment improvement, teacher capacity strengthening, and community engagement.

  • Improving safe and inclusive learning environments through provision of clean drinking water, solar power, fencing, ICT equipment, and access to multilingual digital resources
The project improves safe, functional, and inclusive learning environments by providing essential facilities and materials, including clean drinking water, solar power, fencing, ICT equipment, and multilingual digital resources. These supports help protect children’s health and safety, improve school operations, and strengthen access to learning materials in different languages. By creating safer and more supportive school spaces, the project enables girls, boys, and children from diverse language and learning backgrounds to participate more equally in education.
  • Strengthening well-being by supporting school meals, hygiene kits, and gardening activities to enhance food security
The project supports students’ well-being by addressing basic needs that affect school attendance, participation, and learning. School meal support helps reduce hunger and improves students’ concentration, attendance, and engagement in class. Hygiene kits support students’ personal hygiene, health, and dignity, especially for vulnerable children and adolescent girls. School gardening activities promote food security while providing practical learning on nutrition, responsibility, and self-reliance. Together, these supports help students feel healthier, more confident, and better prepared to learn.
  • Enhancing teaching quality by training school leaders and teachers in child-centered and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) methods, multilingual education, Thai as a second language and digital learning
The project strengthens the capacity of school leaders and teachers to provide quality, inclusive, and child-centered education. Training and follow-up support focus on child-centered teaching methods, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), multilingual education, Thai as a Second Language, and digital learning. These approaches help teachers design lessons that respond to students’ learning levels, language backgrounds, interests, and needs, while also supporting students’ emotional well-being, confidence, cooperation, and positive relationships. Digital learning support also helps teachers use ICT equipment and digital resources more effectively for teaching and school management. By strengthening teachers’ skills and school leadership, students receive more engaging, inclusive, and effective learning support.
  • Fostering parental and community engagement in children’s education through structured meetings and communication channels.
The project promotes stronger engagement of parents, guardians, and community members in children’s education through structured meetings and communication channels. This helps families better understand children’s learning needs, school activities, child protection, attendance, well-being, and the importance of continued education. Regular communication also allows schools to share information, listen to parents’ concerns, and encourage families to support children’s learning at home. By strengthening trust and cooperation between schools and communities, children are more likely to stay in school, receive timely support, and learn in a safer and more caring environment.
